SCSymposium(2007)

We’ll do a brief presentation of the QuantaSonic environment at the SuperCollider Symposium in The Netherlands (Sept. 17.- 23.) at the DCR (Hague) and elsewhere (Amsterdam, Leiden). Our talk will take place at DCR, date & time tba here, afterwards we’re open for discussion and comments.

INFORMATION AESTHETICS

QuantaSonic will be presented at the INFORMATION AESTHETICS Symposium organized by <>TAG as part of the TodaysArt festival in The Hague, Sept. 21&22. For the first time the QuantaSonic will be exhibited as installation featuring quadrascopic video projection and octophonic sound system in the architectural environment of the beautiful Atrium building.

Controller

During October we are doing a residency at steim.nl, developing a physical controller for Quantasonic envir.
The contorller is a sphere which sends out rotation data in 3 dimentions to our environment, controlling data grains rotation and displacement inside the data matrix.
dan overholt has built a circuit for us with two perpendicular xy gyroscopic sensors, as well as an xyz accelerometer / tilt sensor. These sensors are broadcasting through a sparkfun bluetooth port.
We are programming an orientation system based on the data from the controller, which is not an easy task…
